My Review / Notes / Thoughts
This was definitely a passionate talk. One of the statements that stood out the most to me was when Allende said that her daughter told her that “feminism” was outdated. Basically, she said that for girls who’ve grown up privileged within first-world countries, that the concept to them makes no sense. However, for most women around the world, it is still a major issue.
I believe this video could be used in several different fields of study as a discussion topic. I can also see it being used to introduce students to a research project. Students could watch the video and get all sorts of ideas for topics to research.
What fields of study can you see this video be used in to help engage students in their studies? Do you see any other project ideas other than research and discussion?
Until next time … live long, life-learner!
